GREENFIELD, INDIANA

Located just east of Indianapolis, Greenfield is known as the birthplace of James Whitcomb Riley.

 

The James Whitcomb Riley Boyhood Home and Museum, birthplace and home of the famed American writer, poet, and best selling author.He was commonly known as the “Hoosier Poet” or “Children’s Poet” for his works such as “Little Orphant Annie” and “The Raggedy Man.”
